KLY Boutique Hotel Hue

We were exhausted, so we stayed the night even though the room had a musty smell. It didn’t take long to figure out why: there was mold. We left the window open all night. When we mentioned it the next morning, they just said it would be cleaned. At least they let us check in at 12:30 am, which was great. I’d suggest asking someone to show you the room before you settle in.

The location is the only good thing here. The room was cramped and outdated, and the bathroom had a VERY strong smell after we used the water, much stronger than usual. Be careful with your belongings. During heavy rain, our raincoat went missing. Reception said a staff member had “borrowed” it. A few days later, one of the spa staff “borrowed” our helmet too. We were stopped and questioned by police for not wearing a helmet, and fined. It felt very unprofessional. They shouldn’t take people’s things without asking. When we asked about the helmet, they said they’d return it the next day, as if nothing was wrong.

The wedding venues across the street were VERY loud until 1am. The mattresses felt like box springs with nothing but sheets over them, and the rooms looked as if they might be cleaned only once a month. The elevator goes up to the 6th floor, but there are rooms on the 7th. Those rooms were dingy and gross, and I can only imagine they don’t get cleaned at all. This place gets one star because I have to give it something. Otherwise, it’d be zero.

Nhutu was especially helpful to my wife and me. The staff were all friendly, spoke good English, and were happy to help with our requests.
