Lucky Home Stay

Breakfast was a good deal for the price, with eight dishes to choose from. The rooms are a decent size, though the linen in particular could have been cleaner. In our double room, the frosted glass windows didn’t open, which made it feel a little like there were no windows. You get what you pay for.

The owner was welcoming and went out of his way to help. When one of our rented motorbikes gave us trouble at Tu Duc tombs, he was there to help in under half an hour. Our room was clean, the AC worked well, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included too. We’d happily come back.

We slept well each night, thanks to a soft mattress and comfortable pillows. The AC worked great, there was also a fan, and the shower water was a good temperature. They sell big bottles of water and fizzy drinks from a fridge for 10k. Most of all, our host was a huge help after my partner and I had a bag stolen on the bus to Hue. He translated with the bus company and police, and we would have struggled a lot without him. Breakfast was lovely every morning, and I’d recommend the omelette. We could walk everywhere, even in the heat above 35 degrees. We loved our stay, and are so grateful for all the help.

We paid 330 000 a night for a room for two, which felt like good value. The beds were gigantic and comfy, and the water and aircon both worked fine. It’s right in the heart of Hue. Breakfast is included, and the mom makes a mean banana-choco pancake. The dad also makes sure you feel at home. Recommended!
