VIET Hostel

The room was clean, quiet, and private, just what I wanted near the Citadel. It was simply furnished but the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had the wet-room setup that's common in Asia. The host family welcomed me warmly and gave helpful tips about places to see around town. I'd happily stay again.

The location worked really well for the Citadel, market, and new town, including places for evening drinks. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was lovely and friendly. They let us check in early and clearly got the room ready quickly, but still to a very high standard. I'd definitely return.

It's about a 2-5 minute walk to the citadel, and the price is good for a central single room with a private bathroom. The rooms are a little older but spacious, with working AC and a fan. The bed was comfortable, the sheets and towels clean, and the simple bathroom had nice hot water and good pressure in the shower. The ladies who run the place are really kind. They give you a map and suggestions for places to visit. As a woman traveling solo, I liked coming back in the evening and having someone notice I was home. Grandma mostly just waves and nods at you :) I'd definitely recommend viet hostel.

I was glad to find a room with a hot shower and an air conditioner that worked well. My priorities were being close to the Imperial City and within walking distance of the train station, about 20 minutes away. After days out exploring Hue, it was nice to come back to someone welcoming. The small business owner was so warm and went out of her way to mark suggestions on a map after check-in. She tailored them to how long I was staying, and her guidance helped make my time in Hue wonderful. Despite the name, VIỆT Hostel is more like a hotel, with private rooms and private bathrooms. It had what I needed, and I'd stay again.
