Valentino Homestay

The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the A/C worked, and there was a hot shower. Staff were friendly when we arrived and checked us in right away. But the shower drain is on the wrong side of the bathroom, so water flooded the floor and drained very slowly, leaving a constant puddle by the toilet. We stayed two nights. Construction on our floor woke us at 7:30am on the first morning, and it was really loud. On checkout morning, blaring music woke us at 6:15am. We raised it with hotel staff, but they ignored us and didn’t apologize. Worse, they introduced us in the lobby to the people making the noise as if they were celebrities. We paid 30k/KG for laundry, which came back in about 15 hours. Without the noise, I would recommend staying here.

The location was perfect for walking everywhere, and there’s an awesome coffee shop next door. We had a lovely two-night stay, with a spotless, very quiet room where everything worked well. The staff were absolutely lovely, and since we were traveling by bicycle, they let us store the bikes inside for better security. Highly recommend, and great value at 400vd. Booking direct was cheaper.

The location is good, but the hotel needs to fine-tune the decor and electrics. The room had old furniture, unfinished touches, and a smell like raw sewage, with what seemed to be gas rising from the sewers. If you can put up with that smell and the room’s condition, this might be the place for you.

We checked out and accidentally left valuables in the lobby. The staff contacted us right away and arranged to have them sent to our next hotel, which was more than we could have asked for. They were friendly and attentive throughout, too, helping with whatever we needed and suggesting things to do in hue. Our room was clean and roomy, with hot showers, and the location was great, about a five-minute walk from walking street and its bars and restaurants.
