[Update]: The manager contacted me, apologized, and said the problem came from an internal handover mistake and a misunderstanding with the reservation system. The experience was stressful, but I appreciate the follow-up and transparency, and recognize their effort to handle it professionally. I'm not seeking compensation. I changed this review to reflect the hotel's response. [Original]: I had a confirmed booking at Vung Hotel in Hue and had already paid a deposit. The hotel had contacted me ahead of time to confirm it. When I arrived late because of a flight delay, I was told my booked room had been given to another guest. That was extremely stressful after a long journey. They refunded the deposit and offered me a smaller room, which I declined.

Those four pillows were absolute heaven, and the cozy room had exactly my favorite style, with warm lighting and a low-profile bed. I slept so well that I barely wanted to leave for sightseeing. I have to take away one point because it was so hard to get out of bed! Highly recommended.

The secure motorcycle parking outside is spacious, and they give you the gate key so you can come and go as you like. Big thumbs up for that. This cute little hotel and coffee spot is tucked into a small alley, and the beds are comfy. The drinks and coffee were delicious, though the bahn mi breakfast was mediocre. The second-floor rooms can be quite noisy because they're in a duplex with the coffee area and next to their cowork space.

The staff are friendly and professional, and always happy to help. It's a great place if you want somewhere quiet. Restaurants and coffee shops are about a 10-15 minute walk away. I'd definitely recommend it.
