White Lotus Hue Hotel

Our room was clean and somewhat modern, but a little small. The open bathroom setup, with the toilet and shower together and a raised water threshold, wasn't ideal and was easy to trip over. The location is handy, within easy walking distance of Hue's lively tourist area, with restaurants, cafes, shops, clubs, the waterfront, and the iconic Truong Tien Bridge nearby. White Lotus Hue Hotel has strong facilities, especially the impressive pool and what may be the best-equipped, largest hotel gym I've ever seen, complete with an unexpected outdoor mini golf practice range. Staff around the hotel, including the laundry team, were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet had a generous, varied spread. The bar and restaurant have beautiful views and a decent, though not remarkable, menu. Overall, it was good value with excellent facilities and service, though the room layout won't suit everyone.

We found the room and swimming pool clean and nice, and the breakfast was good. But after checking out on the morning of 1/14/26, we realized that we'd left a phone charger worth around $100 plugged into the outlet next to the bed in Room 802, where it should have been easy to spot while cleaning. We contacted the hotel that evening. They replied that they hadn't seen it, without checking the room again to verify. The good food and nice facilities could have earned the hotel five stars, but I rated it one star because the person handling the case was dishonest and unprofessional. We'd left them a tip. If we come back, we'll take better care of our belongings.

Breakfast was pretty good, with lots of Western and Vietnamese choices, and the staff were super helpful. The gym is very well equipped, with 120 kg of plates plus a 20 kg bar, so you can get a proper workout. Inside, the hotel is super quiet and the beds are comfy, though the basic room's 140 cm bed isn't that big. The hotel has a very high standard, but there was almost no room to open suitcases. Booking.com listed the room as 25m2, while it seemed more like 17m2 in reality.

The cocktails were superb, and the bar show was lovely. They have jazz on level 26 from 8 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, the staff were very helpful, and the location was good. Everything felt perfect.
