The rooms and bathroom were clean, and everything else was fine. Still, there was sometimes a cockroach in the bathroom, and I had to remind them to empty the room's trash. It would also help to have toilet paper available at the guesthouse. The older couple who run the place are kind. They don't speak English, but they make an effort to connect with guests and share tea. Their daughter speaks English and is around often to manage things. My cheap ground-floor room faced the street, and the noise started early, around 6 or 7 a.m., when hosts and guests got up and chatted right outside. I asked to move upstairs because I wasn't getting enough sleep, but the owners wouldn't let me switch, which is why I'm giving three stars. I'd insist on an upstairs room. Book ahead if you're arriving before TET, Vietnamese New Year.

It's close to the local beach, with average seafood restaurants nearby. But my room was double-booked, so I had to move and pay extra. There was no daily service for several days, either, and I had to ask for toilet paper and towels.

The green trees around the motel make it feel cool and peaceful, so it could work for a short stay. The room itself is old-fashioned and cramped, with just okay facilities, and didn't feel very secure. It costs 200k.
