La An Dalat Retreat

So peaceful and quiet, a lovely place to retreat. If you want to leave the noisy city and be in nature while still having comfort and good service, I’d recommend it.

There are hikes, mountain biking, jogging, and other ways to explore the natural surroundings. The resort sits in a valley among forest, with fresh air, streams, lakes, trees, and lots of flowers. Its rooms are spread far apart, giving them a private feel, and each bedroom has an open layout close to nature. The restaurant is at the center and is beautifully designed. It suits people who enjoy nature and a fresh lifestyle away from society. There are two entrance gates, and the road between them is a long way around, so ask reception which one to use before you arrive to avoid getting lost. A place worth experiencing.

The setting is beautiful and peaceful, and the buildings are thoughtfully designed. But guest services are lacking, and the place has a lot of unrealized potential. The menu listed many things, but only one or two meals were actually available, which was difficult with no other restaurants nearby. We felt gouged by the 500k campfire and 250k bike rental, especially since there were no trail maps or helmets. The staff were nice, but seemed inexperienced and untrained, and that caused a lot of confusion. Sorry, our party won’t be back.

We stayed in a wooden house and were kept awake all night by hundreds of frogs. There were only two mosquito net doors, and the room really should be soundproofed. The pillows also smelled, and the hygiene standard was low. Not recommended.
