Nha Nghi Van Long Elephants

The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and well equipped. Motorbike parking was secure, and the hotel's strong coffee is worth trying. The shower pressure was a bit weak, but that was a minor issue. After the tiring ride through Vietnam's interior, staying here for 280k a night was a highlight. Lak View Hotel is right on Lak Lake, with beautiful sunrise and sunset views and space for a walk or some exercise. It's also close to the main road, so local restaurants and street food are easy to get to.

The homestay owners were helpful and friendly. They had local specialties, convenience foods, and souvenirs at reasonable prices, and the reception could arrange elephant rides, bike rentals, and boat tours. The location right by Lak lake was the highlight, with green rice fields, distant mountains, morning mist over the water, and a lovely sunset view. Our room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and a hot shower. There was no electric kettle, hair dryer, or mini bar in the room, so we had to go downstairs to use them. The property had space for only two cars. There weren't many local restaurants nearby, so we had limited choices during our stay.

Room 305 was large, with excellent views of the rice paddies, Jun village, and the lake. The hosts were wonderful, and although they didn't speak English, they answered all our questions and suggested things to do. Breakfast was excellent too. Great value all around. Stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The beds were comfortable and it's in a beautiful spot right on the lake. They do basic meals. I had instant noodles with egg for dinner, which cost 30,000. The downside was the noise: loud music went on all night and started again at 0400am. Bring earplugs if you're staying.
