The staff couldn't speak English, so it was hard to get the travel information I needed.

The room itself was quite nice overall, and I'd still recommend this hotel to others. But cleanliness problems, especially the neglected area under the bed, kept me from giving it a higher rating. With some improvements to cleaning, this could easily be a 4-5-star hotel. As it is, I can only rate it average.

Our two nights at Mai Anh Hotel were great. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were helpful. Mr Do, the manager, speaks excellent English and was a big help with local transport and recommendations. The hotel is directly across the street from Vietemotion Restaurant.

Good value for a very short stay before catching a train. The railway station is about a five-minute walk from the hotel, so it’s a convenient option.

The room was clean and comfortable, which made this a good stopover hotel in Lao Cai. The staff were rather inattentive, and there’s no breakfast, though pineapple cafe across the street has a good menu.
