Palace Long Hai Resort

Long Hai beach is right by this fairly large resort, and the location is a big plus. The pool is spacious, though families with kids can make it busy on weekends. Weekdays felt much quieter, both around the pool and in the calm village and on the beach. There are plenty of good local restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and comfortable, but a bit worn, and the bed is quite firm if that matters to you.

I left without ordering anything after trying to get a few dishes that were plainly listed on the menu. The waiter said they didn't have shaking beef, then didn't know what spring rolls were until I had to point them out on the menu. She also said no to Pad Thai, and again I had to show her where it was written. I shouldn't have to explain the menu to restaurant staff, and the whole thing felt unprofessional and incompetent. I won't eat here again during my stay, and honestly wish I'd booked somewhere else. The street food vendors seemed to know their jobs better, even without speaking English. Thanks for reading.

The beach isn't directly accessible from the hotel, though you can rent loungers from the resort by the ocean. The pool area was good, and breakfast ranged from good to really good. Staff were fantastic, and the hotel itself was clean, modern, and nice.

We came for two nights just before Tet, and it made for a lovely little break. The sea views from our fantastic room were great, and the clean pool area even has a separate section for kids. The staff at the restaurant were warm, polite, and spoke good English. They helped us a lot. It's well set up for children too, with ramps for prams and cribs available. I'd happily come back.
