For two weeks while traveling around Vietnam, I stayed on the top floor in a room facing the ocean. The sunsets over Vũng Taos skyline were wonderful, and the beach was very close. They made breakfast for me each morning and were really friendly. Motorbikes are available to rent too.

The terrace was enormous, bigger than our room, with the sea on one side and mountains on the other. Our room was clean, cool, and comfortable, with air conditioning, a fridge that kept things cold, and a smart TV with internet. Other rooms have smaller mountain-facing balconies, and some have no balcony. Housekeeping came every two days, while fresh water arrived daily. There’s a little counter by reception with drinks, snacks, and cigarettes, and a local shop about two minutes away around the corner. We came as a couple for a week and felt more like we were visiting family than staying in a hotel. The place is run by a kind couple and their niece. We mostly used Google Translate to communicate, which was always fun, with plenty of smiles and good energy. They even offered us their own Honda scooter to explore or just ride for fun. Breakfast was included, simple but tasty, with fried eggs and fruit served outside in the fresh air. When we asked if they could make another meal one day, they happily did. The beef spaghetti was excellent, and we liked the iced coffee too. It’s a peaceful place, just a two-minute walk from the beach. They don’t have their own airport transfer, but offered to arrange a taxi whenever we needed one. During our stay the outside of the building was being renovated. They were repairing all the wall cracks and applying fresh paint. The owners were considerate and didn’t want to disturb us. Some terrace photos online may still show the old look, but future guests will find the building fully refreshed and newly painted. You can tell the owners care about maintaining and improving the place. We felt relaxed, looked after, and completely at ease. Highly recommended if you want a cozy, family-run place near the beach with a real home atmosphere.

Never coming back. The room was damp and moldy, the air conditioner was so noisy I couldn't sleep, and the water pressure was weak. It was expensive too. A terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here.
