I’ve never been this upset by a booking before. I reserved a month ahead and even messaged again 2-3 days before the trip, but got no warning that anything was wrong. On arrival, I waited half an hour for the owner, who then said they’d forgotten to record our reservation and had no room for us. When I asked why later bookings hadn’t been canceled, I got a string of excuses, including that the other guests were a larger group. How is it our fault that we traveled in a smaller group? I kept trying to contact them, but they just repeated that they hadn’t noted my booking. I was disappointed and frustrated from the moment I got there. I’ve never had to leave such a bad review for a homestay. Terrible.

The owner was friendly, attractive, and keen to help arrange transport and tickets, and the place is close to the port and restaurants. Still, it feels more like a guesthouse, with no drinking glasses or table in the room. The old air conditioner was noisy and didn’t cool very well. I’d rent a motorbike somewhere else, where it costs only 100-120k.

I was traveling alone and had booked a room without a sea view, but the owner kindly gave me priority for a room with a lovely view of the sea. The room was clean and had the equipment and amenities I needed. A worthwhile place to stay if you’re visiting Ly Son and want to be near the beach. The owner was very enthusiastic and helpful. 100 VND for the Prophet.
