Happy House Moc Chau Hotel

The beds were hard, about a 7 out of 10 on the hard mattress scale. The owners were friendly and helpful, though, and gave me a spare thick doona. Folded in half, it made the bed comfortable enough for me to sleep through the night. Apart from that, the "Happy House" was surprisingly excellent and very pet friendly. It’s near the centre on one of the main roads, but sits down a driveway that’s gated and locked at night, behind another building. That keeps street noise from being a problem, and there are several local food restaurants and convenience stores nearby. My room was clean and a decent size for a short stay, though I think I may have been given an inferior room instead of the king room I booked. It had a private, clean bathroom but no windows. There was a flatscreen TV with Netflix, a small fridge, AC, a pedestal fan, bedside table and lamp, wooden clothes rack, small chair, kettle, and hair-dryer. The Wi-Fi was strong and steady. The bathroom was functional and had good hot water, but only enough for a quick shower.

The owner seemed nice and helped us reserve a bus. The place looked clean and new, and the room was well furnished with AC, a small fridge, and a hairdryer. The only drawback I can mention is that there was no toilet paper in our bathroom.

I had a really pleasant stay here. It was lovely, and I’d definitely recommend it!

I can’t comment on the accommodation since I didn’t stay here. I asked the owner for information about climbing Pha Luong, and he arranged a guide for the next day. He even picked me up from my homestay. He’s very friendly and speaks good English.
