Natalie's Villa & Resort Moc Chau

It’s a great place to stay in a smaller town. The gardens are beautiful, the food comes from nearby local farms, and the staff are wonderful and friendly. The locals around the area are friendly too.

The villas are beautiful and very comfortable, but for the price I expected a much better stay. Natalie's is a taxi ride from any services, like many resorts, but unlike many of them it has no food options between breakfast and dinner. We arrived at 1pm and asked to have lunch at the restaurant, but were told that wasn’t possible. We also expected a relaxing swim after lunch. Both afternoons, the pool was full of screaming kids. It turned out the resort sells day passes for the pool. We paid 3mill per night to stay, while pool passes cost 30k per child. That ruined the quiet atmosphere we’d hoped for and made the pool pretty uninviting during those hours. Fair enough that day visitors have paid to be there too, but the same thing happened both days. Most dishes on the restaurant menu are for at least four people, which is odd when the accommodation is mainly villas for two. There’s also no card payment option, which feels like a red flag for a place this expensive. If it cost less, I wouldn’t mind these things as much. At 3mill per night, an upscale resort needs to deliver. The stay was very disappointing for the price.

We got a complimentary chicken hotpot for dinner, and it was super yummy. The property is beautiful and the food is delicious. Hotel guests can also visit and pick strawberries in the onsite garden for free. We filled a small basket for the trip home, and the berries were so sweet and fragrant.

The food was very good, and the staff were kind and took great care of us. It’s a wonderful, comfortable resort, and I’d love to stay again. The only small issue was that the wifi could be better in the room.
