Cong Doan Hotel My Tho

The water views are lovely: every room faces the river, and from the balcony you can watch the sunset or see the sunrise. The location is excellent, and the restaurant right on the water is beautiful. The hotel itself is in pretty rough shape. Our first room had bedding that was definitely unclean, though the second room they gave us was better. The restaurant was the worst part: the waiters and staff were rude and seemed not to care about you, and the food was below average. It seems to stay busy because of its waterside location, with lots of tour buses and tourists coming through who may not know how bad it is. Take my advice and go elsewhere, or just stop here for coffee.

The hotel looked nice from outside, and the restaurant had a great view of Mekong river, but the food wasn’t good at all. Breakfast was like a joke. We stayed one night, then called reception to change rooms because using the bathroom water brought up a sewage smell. The other room had the same problem, and the smell was so bad we felt really sick that night. We checked out straight away and left Chuong duong. Even weeks after returning to Australia, we could still remember the smell. We’ll never go back to Chuong duong hotel My Tho.

The room was clean, and the bed felt firm. A three star stay.

I didn’t stay overnight, just stopped at the cafe for coffee. The chair I sat on was already broken, and I nearly fell over. Service was slow and it’s expensive.
