We stayed for two weeks because the price worked for us, and being one block off a very busy street meant there was much less traffic right outside, which was nice. Breakfast was adequate once we got the hang of it, though restaurant staff didn’t explain that you could order fresh fried eggs or pho from the counter at the back. The first night was rough after more than 24 hours of travel. There was no hot water, so we had cold showers, and the room was visibly not very clean. The headboard fabric looked disgusting, with years of oil and dirt, so I got a bedsheet the next day to cover it. Housekeeping cleaned the room, and we figured out that the water takes a very long time to warm up.

The sea view from the room was lovely, and there was a tiny balcony. At night its light came on and seemed impossible to switch off. The room was comfortable, though some things felt dated, especially the cupboards and bathroom. On the 17th floor there were a few tiny ants. Drop food and, within minutes, there’ll be hundreds of the little blighters. Service was very good, especially at the delicious buffet breakfast. I don’t eat meat, but the tofu dish had pork in it, so I had to pick the pieces out. Why not make it vegetarian when there are already so many meat dishes? When I mentioned it, staff were extremely accommodating and offered to prepare a special vegetarian meal. I politely declined since there was cheese, fruit, and vegetables. Someone also brought freshly squeezed orange juice to my table, which was a nice touch. The coffee is Vietnamese, with no Western-style filter coffee or Nescafé that I saw. There were a few other small annoyances. The reservation said bathrobes were included, but there weren’t any. The slippers came in two sizes, “too small” and “much too small.” I wish these hotels understood that men from outside Southeast Asia have BIG FEET. The internet cut out from time to time, though using a VPN seemed to help a little. Still, I had a lovely stay, especially for the great bargain price I got on a sea-view room with a bath. I’d come back if I can get that deal again 🙂

The facilities and breakfast were incredible for the price, and the staff were excellent. I lost my room key and credit card on the street, but the hotel team kindly helped me find them. I’ll definitely visit again next time I’m in Nha Trang.

The room was spacious, with a sea view and a clear look at Vinpearl. We were in room 1803, listed with two queen beds, though one was actually king-sized. I liked the sofa by the window for reading and looking at the night view. There were also chairs that helped when the kids ate takeout or drew, and the bathtub kept them entertained. The pool was quite large, probably over 60m², and the kids had a blast using their tubes for all three days. The hotel is a bit dated compared with Ventana Hotel, where we stayed before, but it’s maintained well. Wi-Fi and TV signal dropped now and then; our e-SIM data meant it wasn’t a big problem. We spotted some ants while the kids played on the floor. The towels had a faint smell of Chinese spices, perhaps from the laundry service, but it didn’t bother us much. Breakfast was okay for adults, though it seemed less suitable for children. We gave them bread, cereal, and fried eggs. There were dragon fruit and watermelon, and you could order fried eggs, omelets, and Pho à la carte. I enjoyed the food. It’s about 15 minutes to the city center, and a Grab ride costs around 35,000 VND. We also used Grab for food deliveries. The hotel is a little far out, but in return it offers a large room, a big pool, and very quiet nights. Next time, though, I think I’d choose somewhere in the center. Since my kids are young and prefer using Grab anyway, I’d rather spend that transport money on a more central room.

I spent 45 days in Nha Trang from late February to early April this year, with a month of that at this hotel. That probably says enough, but it was unbelievable value: a nice pool, a functional gym, comfortable rooms, lovely staff, and just five minutes from a beautiful stretch of beach. Special shout-out to In, who made fresh juice for us every day and asked the kitchen to make delicious noodles when there were no vegan options on the menu. I’m definitely going back next year!
