Motel Mys Dung as Motel Lavie

I picked this place because it was near my meeting, and when I checked out I was back from a meeting at 11. At 11:15 the owner knocked and said checkout was at 12, then insisted it was 11:30. Her watch showed 11:17. I asked to see it, but she wouldn't show me. I said I'd be out by 12; she asked for the room key and was rude about it. When I said she could charge me for a late checkout, she said not to worry because they had cameras. The room I'd booked was 30 m2 (323 ft2), but at 4 pm the owner asked me to come back in an hour. I reminded her check-in was at 2 and I had an appointment, so she hurriedly cleaned a room on the first floor. It barely fit the queen bed, and I couldn't spread my luggage out comfortably. The room in the photo had no private toilet, either. I had to use the shared toilet on the first floor. It seemed maybe 15 m2, nowhere near what I had reserved. When I told her, she said the booked room wasn't available and I could cancel and find somewhere else. There'd be no refund, though, and I had a 7 pm meeting, so I felt stuck. I took photos of the room I actually got. I also asked to use the washing machine and was told it was only for people staying a month. Since I was there for one night, I couldn't use it. I was visiting for a week and might have extended, but I'm glad I only reserved one day. Dealing with the reservation and Agoda wasn't worth the trouble.

The surroundings were quiet and the location convenient, which made for a really satisfying family stay. The place was clean and airy, with space that suited a family. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. We were lucky to book it for our trip last Sunday, and we'd consider coming back if we get the chance.

The room didn't feel worth the money. It was dusty, damp and cold, and the sheets and blankets were yellow-stained and untidy. I didn't even dare take a blanket from the closet. There was a construction site nearby, so it was very noisy. When I arrived to check in, the door was locked. I waited a long time for reception and had to call four or five times before anyone answered. I'll update this after the motel replies. To be clear, I wasn't talking about or questioning the extra charge for a third person in the room. This review is only about the quality of the room I got that day. Thank you.

The staff were so attentive, and the owner was warm and caring. We were lucky to find this place for our Nha Trang family trip. It felt very comfortable and airy.
