Pavillon Garden Hotel & Spa

There was a small balcony with an ocean view, and it was quiet. For the price, it's worth every penny. The one downside is that the bathroom cleaning could be better, but I'd recommend it to budget travelers.

Slept really well here. The bed was good, and the room stayed surprisingly quiet even though the beach is just half a block away.

We loved how much was within walking distance, and the reception staff were very friendly. The stay itself, though, was terrible. Our room was filthy, as the photos show, and when the power was out for nine hours (something outside the hotel's control), we asked to move elsewhere but were offered no discount or refund. We only got an explanation after going to reception to ask. With no power, the cleaners didn't come or replace the water and towels. A rubbish trolley was left blocking our door, and other people kept adding trash to it. Ten hours after the power came back, we took it down to the foyer ourselves using the lift. Industrial work around the hotel woke us early, and the fire alarm went off just before checkout. Maybe we were just unlucky.

I’ve stayed in the rear apartment building twice, once in a two-bedroom unit and once in a one-bedroom. Both look great and are nicely designed. The one-bedroom smelled a little musty, and its lavatory was outside the bathroom. Each apartment has a kitchenette and a big fridge. The beds are comfortable, the TVs are large, and the WiFi is fast. We paid 200-300k, which felt like amazing value. It’s very close to the beach, though the pool is quite small. I haven’t stayed in the main building.
