Pearl Beach Hotel

It was okay.

I should have left after reading the few poor reviews I found before booking. Instead, I stayed four nights, and the place was awful. It was dirty and never cleaned during my stay. Breakfast was always cold and below par, the restroom constantly stank, there were dead insects in the hallway, and I saw rat droppings in the dining room. This doesn't deserve to be called a hotel, let alone a three-star one. None of the staff spoke English. The host would grab my hand and touch my face at every encounter, whether in the restaurant or at reception. It felt intrusive, and it wasn't simply a friendly gesture. He eventually suggested sex. I strongly advise against staying here. I gave it a chance despite the reviews and regret it. Please don't make the same mistake.

The rooms are clean and pleasant, and most have windows that let in natural light. The layout is fairly well designed, with a large atrium decorated with paintings of well-known Nha Trang landmarks. There’s an elevator beside the stairs and atrium. The sink is a little small, but overall the rooms are fine. Pearl Beach Hotel is at 63 Nguyen Bieu Street, Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province. The beach is close enough to walk to for a swim. Street food stalls and cafes are nearby, though a construction project in August 2018 caused some traffic on the way there. Once the work is complete, the route should be clearer and easier. Rates start at 350,000 VND per day, which isn't too expensive. One difference from many other places is that even walk-in guests have to pay a deposit equal to one day's rent, rather than paying the full amount at the end.

The blanket had cockroaches in it and smelled awful. When I told reception, they said they were exterminating the insects.
