Sea Pearl Hotel

I’ve probably stayed at this hotel 10 times, and even 5 stars doesn’t feel like enough. It’s right on the beachfront and has a balcony. What more do you need?

I wouldn't recommend spending your money here. When I first entered the room, it was full of mosquitoes because housekeeping had left the windows wide open in both the sleeping area and bathroom. After a long travel day, I ended up staying up very late killing them, which was the last thing I wanted. Then I found tiny ants crawling all over the bed. I wish I'd taken photos, but it was so late and I was exhausted that I forgot. Cleanliness was nowhere near acceptable for such a desirable location: the towels were stained, the showers covered in black mold, and the walls marked by past guests. I was with a large group and we had four rooms on the eighth floor. We all had the same experience, or worse. This stay was not favorable at all.

The staff were unfriendly, and the front desk attendant got visibly annoyed and glared at me when I said my room had no hot water. He insisted there was hot water even though I was telling him there wasn't. The towels and sheets were stained, the room was dusty, and the bathroom hadn't been cleaned before we checked in. A terrible place to stay.

We stayed three nights and enjoyed it. The hotel is in a very good spot, just a one-minute walk across the street to the sea. Breakfast was good, the room and toilet were clean, and the front desk spoke English. Ask for a quiet room, though. Local guests checked in over the weekend and got up early, talking quite loudly. Still, I enjoyed the stay.
