Sunrise Hon Chong Ocean View Apartment

The apartment is on the 23rd floor, with a sea view, pale calming colors, white walls and light wood. It seems to have been renovated fairly recently. There are two matching bedrooms, one with a large window facing the sea and the other with just a false window, plus two bathrooms, a kitchen and living area, and an open balcony. The kitchen has plenty of equipment: two pots, a frying pan, different-sized plates, forks, spoons, chopsticks, two knives, glasses, a rice cooker, kettle, big fridge, and microwave. There is a large table with six chairs. The balcony has a large top-loading washer that washes and dries, and there are three air conditioners. In terms of amenities and equipment, it's perfect. The biggest issue is the kitchen, which has a musty smell I couldn't fully get rid of, along with tiny yellow ants. Most of the other problems are bearable, and the kids didn't mind them at all. Cleaning was poor, with dusty closets, dirty taps and areas around them, and unwashed windows. Some fittings, including the kitchen tap and the soap and toothbrush holders, wobble because they aren't attached properly. The shelves are very cheap thin iron ones and already starting to rust, completely useless and out of place with the rest of the renovation. Both bathrooms have big bottles of shampoo and shower gel, but the contents are so watered down you can't even wash your hands with them. I ended up using the spare soap, and that kind of stinginess is astonishing. Neither bathroom has a shower screen, which is inconvenient, and there aren't many hooks or shelves. There were only two blankets. We asked for two more and could barely find them. The two they brought were ugly and had no duvet covers, and they said they didn't have any covers, sorry. I wouldn't recommend these apartments because of the northern part of Nha Trang. The infrastructure is developed, but it all feels very repetitive. You can't even find ordinary fresh smoothies on the streets. The beach is small, inconvenient, and unequipped for the huge number of people living in these residential high-rises.
