Vector Hostel

The staff were very friendly and the hostel was clean enough; I slept pretty well. Its location is a nice balance, away from the main strip but still close by. There’s construction around the hostel, though, and with no double-glazed windows or doors it gets loud early. One toilet and one shower serve the eight-bed dorm, and the place could use an update.

I had a lovely two-night stay. The staff were helpful and really friendly, and they cleaned the dorms and bathrooms every day. There are privacy curtains, free water refills, and cheap laundry and motorbike rental, the cheapest I’ve seen in Vietnam so far. The beach, shops, and restaurants are all close. The beds were a bit hard, and street noise was the only real downside.

The place is convenient, but there isn’t much room. My room wasn’t clean and had dust everywhere, especially under the mattress. Breakfast was fine, and we could eat as much as we wanted from what they served. They provided hair and body shampoo, but no towels or other toiletries.

The staff were really nice and helped us find a mechanic and sort out other things. Breakfast upstairs came with a nice view and was okay: eggs, toast, jam, fruit, milk, and cornflakes. The beds were clean, and the bathroom was ensuite, but the toilet and shower share one room, so it got dirty quickly with eight people using it. We were in a four-bed room for eight, with a big balcony facing the main street. We could hear everything outside, including construction across the road at night. I might come back, but it wouldn’t be my first choice.
