Chã¢u Sæ¡n Garden Resort

We slept well because the hotel was so quiet. It’s a bit far from central Ninh Binh, and the area can get pretty dark at night, but we had a car, so that wasn’t a problem. Don’t expect a fancy building, as they barely have a lobby, but the room was clean, decent and properly air-conditioned. Breakfast is included. Each guest can choose one food and one drink, and orders can be sent over WhatsApp. The male receptionist was friendly, though he didn’t really speak English; Google Translate worked well for us. I’ve forgotten the female host’s name, but she spoke fluent English and we enjoyed chatting with her at breakfast. She also gave us good suggestions for places to visit nearby.

Our room was lovely, and we needed scooters to get into town, which were available to hire. The attentive, friendly and helpful staff really made our stay special, especially Loan at the front reception and the night supervisor Quoc.

After a long day, we checked in and learned the restaurant usually doesn’t open in the evening. Still, the manager and the person who checked us in offered to cook us something, and dinner was very tasty. The service was amazing, well beyond what I’d normally expect, and I really appreciated it. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
