Emerald Ocean Hotel

The photos and description didn’t match what we found when we arrived after booking through Priceline. The room’s appearance and cleanliness shocked us. It wasn’t close to the beach as advertised, and the room smelled awful. Black mold covered the restroom and shower ceiling, with a terrible odor. The sheets were stained, and there was hair and a lot of ants on the bed. They moved us to another room, but it was exactly the same. We saw no other guests and left immediately without staying the night. We couldn’t get back our $300 room fee. We found a much cleaner, nicer, and cheaper hotel across from the beach down the street. This place is a health hazard. Don’t stay here.

The room was tiny, with the shower right beside the toilet, so you could sit on the toilet and shower at the same time. There was no hot water, and cockroaches and ants were around. The wooden bathroom door had mold and mildew. The ocean view was blocked by other buildings, and I couldn’t secure or close the windows. When I asked to switch rooms, the first person wanted money to clean it, even though we’d only been there two hours. Someone else eventually arranged a room change. The lobby bathroom had no toilet paper, and the owner wouldn’t let my driver use the bathroom when he had an upset stomach.

Tiny room with no window, dirty little bathroom, and an unclean bed. The worst part was the poor reception. Stay here if you want the worst night in Phan Thiet.

Crude and dirty, no towels, and ants everywhere. Terrible.
