Lotus Beach House

The Lotus House rate is 2.5 million VND per night, and breakfast isn’t included. Food at the home is quite expensive, about resort prices, and the room Wi-Fi is extremely weak. It sits in a large garden with several other houses. Each house is lovely on its own, though together they feel a bit disjointed. The owner was friendly and let us use another house’s swimming pool when there were no guests. The beach right in front is clean and so quiet it almost feels like it belongs to the home. Children can catch crabs and gather clams there. But the beach farther along, outside the home’s area, is covered in plastic bottles. There’s also a beautiful patch of wild pineapples, great for sunny days and photos.

My villa had a spacious private pool and was an easy walk from the beach. There were four air conditioners for the living room, two bedrooms and kitchen, with doors that close and skylight windows. In my opinion, there’s also a wishing tree where you can leave thoughts and wishes. The access road was a bit difficult because of the gravel, but I could feel the staff’s enthusiasm. They were cheerful and friendly.

The beach would be beautiful without all the trash. There was too much on both sides, and I don’t think we should swim this season because I was stung by a jellyfish. I don’t understand why nobody warned me. Pets are allowed here, and there’s no breakfast. I stayed in a Lotus House for 2 million a night. It had two beds, a full kitchen, a refrigerator and a washing machine. The place felt cozy and close, like home, with a very beautiful garden. All in all, it was quite okay.

We stayed about 4 days and 3 nights as a family. The quiet and all the greenery were the main positives, as long as nobody was singing karaoke or playing loud music. The road to the homestay was in very bad shape and not well maintained. It’s far from the market, seafood wasn’t fresh, and it was hard to find a taxi. Getting to amenities is quite far, so it’s less convenient if you have your own car. There also weren’t enough staff when we needed help, and the security guard was unpleasant. Even on a long stay, bottled water and toilet paper weren’t replenished daily, so we had to ask. Giving money would make them a little nicer. If you don’t have a car, I wouldn’t stay here. Renting motorbikes here isn’t very good, and the old bikes are a bit dangerous. It may suit families or groups of friends for a day trip, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a long stay.
