This is a small, family-run place, and it’s very cheap at 500,000 a night. We had a clean bed and a balcony with a table, chairs, and a sea view. There’s also a small fridge, kettle, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, and fan. It’s close to the beach and well placed for the main beach area and bars. The room is dated, and the bathroom is basic but functional. The shower is a wet room, and you need to let it run for a while before the water gets hot. There’s no safe. Also, some reviews seem to be for the Bali hotel, not this one, which has no pool.

The reception girl was so friendly and helpful, even sorting out our bus tickets. Breakfast was delicious, with a beautiful ocean view, and the swimming pool was lovely. The rooms were nice and clean too. Best hotel I’ve stayed in in Vietnam, with five-star service.

The beach here is clean, with fishing boats behind the property. Get up around sunrise and you’ll see the fishermen and lots of people exercising. You can hear the sea against the shore from your own private room, and the sunset views are beautiful. The place is shaded by coconut trees, and squirrels show up in the trees. Crickets might come by at night. It’s close to the local market and restaurants, and the hosts are honest, welcoming, and always smiling. If you want the comfort of your own room along with a local feel, this is a good option. Hostels can get tiring.

La Mer makes a peaceful base for exploring the area, just a short drive from town. You can head out for beach activities or local culture, then come back to unwind by the water. The pool area is calm, and the restaurant serves fresh, delicious food. Staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and their personal attention made us feel at home. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and well equipped. The sea view was breathtaking, and we could hear the waves as we fell asleep. It’s a stylish, comfortable beachfront resort with a tranquil feel. Highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Mui Ne.
