The large rooms, sandy beach out front, lovely garden and big pool make for a beautiful resort. There’s plenty of staff around, and the buffet breakfast is excellent. Getting into town is less convenient. The resort is far from shops and restaurants, and expensive for Vietnam. A free shuttle runs only twice a day at awkward times, so it isn't much use for trips into town. Drinks all cost extra, apart from free tea from 15:00 to 17:00, and you have to pay for water too. There's a motorbike rental shack outside the hotel, but the owner tried to scam me. He gave me a bike running on gases in the fuel tank, then kept part of my deposit when I returned it, claiming there wasn't enough fuel regardless of how much was in the tank. Hotel staff wouldn't help, so try to avoid that rental place.

Room 28B was right by the ocean, which was amazing. I could just walk over and code by the beach at night. The AC worked well, though it was a bit noisy, and there were a few three-prong outlets for charging my laptop. Ask for a desk if you need one. Hot water came right away with good pressure, and the pool was nice for rinsing off after swimming in the ocean. It stays open until 9 pm. For swimming in the sea at any time of day, this might not be the right place. At high tide it didn't look safe to go in. I heard there can be flooding on very stormy days, which you'd expect at a beach resort. Check the monthly weather patterns, maybe on Wikipedia. Our February weekend had great weather.

The furniture was new and in good condition, and I stayed at Mui Ne Resort for 1 night. But the room was on a high floor with direct sun and few trees, so it got quite hot in the afternoon. More trees and better kept grass would make the grounds greener. The price is also high compared with nearby resorts. Before arriving, I called reception 2 times to confirm the booking. They promised to call back but didn't. Room cleaning was poor: they cleaned the floor but didn't wash the cups or glass we used, and didn't change the bed sheet for 3 days.

The room was comfortable and clean, and I liked the pretty garden and pool. Staff didn't seem friendly or helpful. They looked unhappy and didn't seem willing to chat or even smile. Breakfast had limited choices for the first few days, then suddenly there was a better buffet on the last day. No idea why. It's okay for the price.

I loved the garden. The hotel is old-fashioned, but it has its own charm. Staff are friendly, though they need more training in service facilities. The pool was a bit muddy, and my room was clean and simple. I missed having equipment for hot tea or coffee. There's no beach.
