Son Doong Riverside Homestay

We were there for one night before our tour and arrived at midnight. We'd told them twice, through WhatsApp and Booking.com, but still had to call their number. They were asleep, and clearly unhappy that we'd woken them to check us in. The room was fine for the night, though carrying our heavy luggage up three or four flights of stairs was tough. There were red fire ants in the room, and I got bitten overnight, which left me unhappy. Breakfast was made to order, mostly rice, noodles, eggs, and bread, and it was good. The location across from the river was nice.

I liked my stay here. The rooms were clean and large, with a hot shower, and the staff were friendly. It was about 370,000 per night. Breakfast was nice, the coffee was good, and both the Wi-Fi and TV worked well. Great location.

The owner was kind enough to pick me up at the station in the middle of the night, and I'm very grateful for that. The place is nicely located, with a beautiful river view. The room looked nice, but there's a serious mold problem. I couldn't sleep in one room and had to switch, though the mold was still there in the other room, just less of it. Thank you again. 😊

A lovely, homely place, and clean too. They have all the utilities you need, and the hosts are especially warm. I'd definitely recommend it for a relaxed stay at Phong Nha.
