Ben Guesthouse Phu Quoc

For what we paid around New Year, we were disappointed. It’s basic and might do for a night or two, but a lot went wrong during our stay. The duvet smelled as if it wasn’t washed, so we didn’t use it and were cold at night. Both mopeds we were given were faulty, which was inconvenient. We got one toilet roll for three nights, and it was never replaced because the room wasn’t cleaned. The shower had no hot water, and the air conditioning was broken with no attempt to fix it. When we wanted to check out, nobody was around, so we had to wait. The guest house lady didn’t speak English, so we had to contact someone who did through WhatsApp. That was fine, of course, since we’re in Vietnam, but it made it really difficult to explain the problems.

It’s a quiet, peaceful spot with no noise, just a calm feel. Everything is simple but super cute and cozy, and my room had lovely seaside decor, with shells and sweet little details. It has what you need, including a shared kitchen with the basics like a stove, plates, pans, and utensils, plus a water cooler.

I arrived late and could still buy instant noodles and an egg from the guesthouse. The owner is kind, really nice, and takes good care of you.

Had a great time here. It’s a quiet, peaceful place, simple and comfortable.
