Canaan Beach Home Hotel

I especially appreciated how peaceful it felt here, even though the surrounding area is developing fast and becoming more commercial. It's also convenient for getting to lots of places. The staff were warm, kind, and helpful throughout. The owner gave us particularly thoughtful, personal care, which made me feel welcome. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. I'd recommend this place.

We had a memorable stay at Canaan beach resort, starting with our first contact with the host. The spacious cottage had a lovely terrace for relaxing and was right on the beach, with a great bar nearby. We also liked having a shared kitchen where guests could spend time and meet each other. The service, friendly staff, cleanliness, and location were all just right, with the beach, restaurants, and shops close by. We couldn't have asked for better accommodation. A big thank you to everyone who was always ready to help. Hope we can visit again :)

We rented a bike, and the laundry came back really quickly. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the location and service were great. Breakfast was fabulous, especially the orange salmon, which I highly recommend. The coffee was great too. The shared kitchen was clean and had good pans and sharp knives, which I've rarely found in a communal kitchen. We'd happily return anytime! :)

The staff were excellent, kind, and attentive, and when we left after one night they refunded the rest of our money without argument. Still, the resort description and photos need updating. The beach wasn't like the pictures at all. It was a crowded beach club with expensive drinks, bad music, cigarette butts everywhere, and a pipe discharging into the ocean. The listing suggested a peaceful place with a cool vibe and a shared kitchen for meeting other travelers. Instead, loud noise went on until 4 a.m., with inconsiderate, rude guests and no sound insulation in the rooms. Our room was clean and pleasant enough, but there were insects and no mosquito net over the bed. That would be an easy improvement. We left exhausted after a long night and covered in bug bites. I sincerely hope they improve things, but as it is, I don't understand the positive reviews.
