Diamond Luxury Hotel

Diamond Cruise is worth including in a Vietnam holiday. They can pick you up around Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and the trip includes lunch, canoeing or bamboo rafting, cave climbing, and some amazing views.

We ran into a little trouble with the transport we’d booked from Halong to Hanoi. Linh at reception helped a lot by getting in touch with the bus company. Really appreciate the great service!

Great views from both the rooms and the hotel roof, and for the price, this was the best quality hotel we found in Vietnam.

The bed was really comfortable and the staff were nice, but the cockroaches need proper attention. At 4am on our first night, a big one dropped from the ceiling and ran off as soon as the elevator doors opened. We had to stay, and things seemed fine after that. We stayed an extra night because of our plans, and that was okay too. Then on our third night we found two baby cockroaches in the room. I went downstairs to tell the staff, and by the time I came back with another room key, my fiancé had killed a third one. There were also two small dead ones outside that room. The staff sort of laughed it off. I understand it’s a thing here, and I was trying to play it down too, but it still needs to be dealt with. They said housekeeping would come the next day, but housekeeping isn’t pest control. We also found mold around the bathroom sinks and the shower in the deluxe room didn’t work. There were no stir sticks for the coffee in either room, and one room could have been cleaner, as the coffee station showed. As we were leaving, a huge cockroach was in the elevator. We saw them all on the 6th floor.
