Coco Village Phu Quoc Resort & Spa

The staff are very friendly and want to help, though the language barrier meant we had to use a translation app for everything. The pool was okay, and the beach is walkable in 10-15 minutes, though the route is off-road. Our room felt sad and badly in need of a facelift. The official photos look like they were taken when it was new, and the white surfaces aren't white anymore. There were several kinds of insects in the room, and the furniture was in poor shape. We checked out two days early to move hotels, mostly because the neighbor's puppy was chained outside all day and cried or screamed much of the time. As a dog owner, I found it very hard to listen to. Hotel staff said that's how they teach puppies where home is for a few days.

The place felt run down and mediocre. Pool water was brown, rooms weren't cleaned, and the pool area had cigarette butts and empty beer cans everywhere. Dirty plates sat on tables for hours, and nobody seemed concerned about cleanliness. Our bathroom had no separate shower stall, so you could sit on the toilet and shower at the same time. There was also an odd opening to the outdoors, which let large spiders in to nest in the towels. At checkout they tried to charge us for a meal we hadn't had. We would never have eaten there given the filth. Ownership needs to fix the property and hire a management team that cares about customer service.

My family spent four nights at Coco Village resort. It's a genuinely good place to stay, quiet and peaceful, with a very clean room. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the owner, mr Tùng, and his wife were very kind and welcoming. We highly recommend Coco Village resort to you and your friends.

The two-bedroom setup with two bathrooms and a view of the pool worked perfectly for us. The linens were fresh, the windows were so clean I nearly walked into one, and the room had both a kitchen and room service whenever we wanted it. The pool was great for a morning dip or an afternoon swim, and the WiFi was fast enough for streaming and staying connected. Restaurants are within walking distance, and free bikes made it easy to ride to the beach. The staff were genuinely helpful, and the Apple translate app made chatting with them smooth. We'd absolutely come back.
