Dương Đông Hotel

I arrived a day early, which was my mistake. Before leaving, I said “see you tomorrow” in both English and Vietnamese, and the receptionist said “okay.” When I came back the next day, the same person told me I hadn’t asked him to keep the reservation. I asked why I would return if I didn’t think I had a reservation, and they pointed to the camera on the counter. I repeated that I’d said I was coming back and he’d said okay. We used Google Translate to make sure we understood each other, but they had cancelled my reservation without telling me, didn’t apologize for the misunderstanding, and kept trying to blame me. The front desk experience was unpleasant. Also, the pool is tiny, nothing like it looks in the photo. There are lots of places to stay in Long Beach, so I’d go somewhere else.

The layout is spacious and useful, with two separate sleeping areas, one with a single bed and the other with a double. There’s also a proper kitchen with an induction stove, a real plus for a longer stay. The room comes equipped with everything you need, and the design and amenities make it very good value for the price. Great hotel, definitely worth booking if you want comfort, space, and good facilities at a reasonable rate.

The top room was spacious and well ventilated, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a balcony, and a living room. There were three of us, and it suited us perfectly. It was clean and the receptionist was really kind and attentive. We had a power outage, which wasn’t their fault, but he was amazing in the way he looked after us. The main road, full of restaurants, is about a 10 minute walk away, and the area is nice and quiet. I’ll definitely come back!

There wasn’t anything luxurious about the hotel, but the simple comfort and warm welcome made the stay memorable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile. After exploring the island, it was a peaceful, relaxing place to come back to. A straightforward, welcoming stay in Dương Đông, Phú Quốc.
