Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa

The private beach was clean, quiet, and great for swimming, and the greenery around the resort made everything feel peaceful and relaxing. At Green Bay Phu Quoc Resort & Spa, our room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with natural touches. Staff were friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast was tasty with a good choice of options. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet break in Phu Quoc, and I’d definitely come back.

The resort is tucked away, with friendly, attentive staff and a very nice breakfast. We were choosing between two resorts and booked Green Bay at the last minute, before boarding our one-hour flight to Phu Quoc. We called to ask about an airport pickup, and one of their staff was waiting for us at the airport exit. The villas are spacious and great. The private beach is clean, though the water has some seaweed on windy afternoons. The resort can arrange a rental motorbike and bring it there. It’s about a 20-minute ride to Dong Duong night market and around 10 minutes to Grandworld. Overall, a great resort.

Restaurant Gio, set on a headland, was the standout for us. Vinh, Vi, Chong, Cho and Ani made every visit feel special, and the food, service and setting were remarkable for such reasonable prices. The bistro served complimentary afternoon tea, barbecue twice a week and Western-style meals on other evenings, while the cocktail bar had smooth jazz for sunset drinks. We stayed for 10 nights in one of the less expensive villas. It was spacious and thoughtfully equipped, with an outdoor spa bath, huge beds, quiet air-conditioning and wraparound balconies that were lovely for winding down. The villas sit along the shore in a beautifully kept jungle cove, about a 15-minute drive from Duong Dong, a useful, approachable town. The staff had a real knack for making each interaction warm and positive. Green Bay felt like five-star luxury without the stiff formality. I’ve travelled a lot over the years, and this came remarkably close to perfect. We leave tomorrow and already hope to return. Do your heart and soul a favour and go, you deserve it!

We only stayed one night at the end of our trip, and wished we’d allowed more time to enjoy everything GreenBay has to offer. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and even a room devoted just to salad. Since it was our honeymoon, the staff decorated our room and brought us a proper whole cake to mark the occasion. They were helpful and quick to respond whenever we had a concern. Our beach-facing villa had a private pool, an outdoor bathtub and an outdoor shower. We weren’t quite confident enough to try the shower, though maybe we’ll have the Baywatch lifeguard bodies for it next time. The estate is peaceful and suited to unwinding with a partner or on your own. It’s fairly remote, but getting there by GRAB or metered taxi was quite manageable. We’d love to return to Phu Quoc and GreenBay and stay longer.
