My corner room was well ventilated, and the building was very quiet. Cars rarely passed, and there was no noise even with the windows open. The hosts were friendly and reachable on WhatsApp. They let us check in early and took our floor preferences into account. There’s a washing machine and clotheslines on the ground floor, which was very convenient. The apartment was clean and nice, with no insects. I was on the top floor, where birds sometimes landed on the window, and the window screens were handy. The kitchen had most of the utensils we needed, though sharing them with roommates could be a hassle. The location wasn’t very convenient. It’s a half-hour walk to Sunset Town and a large store, which is tiring in the heat. We couldn’t get a taxi from there because they wouldn’t call one, so renting a bike made things more comfortable. The internet was stable for the first few days, but slowed down terribly during the last two, making it hard to work.

The cable car is only a short walk away, and there are fireworks every evening. Our room was spotless and pretty, with air conditioning, a working kitchen, closets, and bedside tables. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and they even gave us cookies. We were really happy with how welcoming the place felt.
