Hula hula beach front

We had a great time at Hula Hula Phu Quoc and would happily stay again. The location is handy for the beach, restaurants, and the island's main spots, while still feeling calm. Our accommodation stayed spotless and fresh, and housekeeping did a lovely job each day. The pool is well cared for and a good place to unwind. Staff were friendly, attentive, and glad to help from the moment we arrived. Great value and a genuinely welcoming place.

The private beach out front is lovely for snorkeling, and you can even catch some kinds of seafood there. The staff were really friendly and cooked what I caught for me. It's a quiet, beautiful place to relax, a world away from the noise and crowds in the South Island. I rented a motorbike myself and went exploring in Phu Quoc National Park. Sharing this in case it helps make your trip more enjoyable.

We tried both the beachfront and pool front rooms, and both were quiet and tucked away, a nice escape from the everyday rush. The bed was king sized and very comfortable, with pillow choices you don't often find outside a 5 star hotel. The rooms are well appointed, too. There was plenty to reach on foot, including good food and coffee, supermarkets, pharmacies, jewellery shops, and beauty and massage services. We enjoyed seeing local traders, fishermen, and families swimming. We would have stayed longer if the place hadn't been booked out.

We had a confirmed six night reservation at Hula Hula Beachfront Phu Quoc, with a booking number and confirmation code. On the day we were due to arrive, the hotel called to say it had cancelled because the first name on the credit card was “different”. Booking told us the hotel had cancelled without clear justification, so that did not seem like a valid reason. We were two women left in Phu Quoc with our luggage and nowhere to stay, dealing with an emergency the hotel had caused. They offered no alternative or assistance, and showed no professionalism or respect. It looked very much like they resold the room at the last minute for a higher price. Unreliable, unethical practices and zero customer care. One of the worst travel experiences we've had. If you value your vacation, peace of mind, and money, do NOT stay here.
