The staff were really friendly, and the price is cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. But in five nights our room was never cleaned, and the bathroom was super dark. The place is a bit old and run down. It’s okay if you don’t need things to feel as sterile as an operating room.

The owner is very kind to everyone, and the price isn’t expensive. Everything was okay. The hotel is near the night market, where you can buy all sorts of things, and you can walk to places from there. If you’re travelling around Phu Quoc island, this is a good place to stay.

We couldn’t stay another night. The owner wouldn’t refund the second night we didn’t use, and eventually gave us 100,000 dong back angrily. That was only a small part of what we’d paid, and we couldn’t keep arguing. I found the treatment unfair and disrespectful to customers, and renting out a room in this condition felt irresponsible. There were five spots of active mold or mildew on the ceiling, a horrible musty smell, and no hot water in the shower. The window wouldn’t open, so we couldn’t air the room out. In the morning we both had terrible headaches, and my girlfriend was vomiting. It felt like we’d been poisoned by the mold. Staying there was a mistake. Give it a wide berth if you don’t want to risk getting mold poisoning like we did.
