Mekong Rustic Can Tho

We spent six days at this flower paradise and were very happy with our stay. The team were wonderful, especially the always helpful manager Le Van Tam, who made it special. It feels like a botanical garden, full of beautiful flowers and birds. The pool was clean and well kept, a relaxing spot on a hot day. Breakfast was great, with plenty of fruit, tasty food, and eggs cooked how you like them. We also enjoyed the restaurant meals and beer, good quality for a low price. We recommend spending a few relaxing days here, and we’ll come back to WamXang Roustic Home!

The location is a little outside the city, but I found that a real plus. It’s quiet and authentic, and a good base for exploring the area. The hotel grounds are beautifully designed, green, and peaceful, and you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. The rooms were comfortable too. Bike rides through the countryside and floating market tours are easy to arrange from here, and we highly recommend them. The staff were incredibly helpful and organized great transfers at a very fair price. We even got a small lunch package because we had to leave early in the morning. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely return.

After weeks in big, noisy cities and a night in town, we moved here and found it very peaceful. The rooms are lovely, with firm but comfortable beds and comfy pillows. The outdoor shower and bathroom were a nice addition, and the pool area was plenty big enough. The tours were reasonably priced and excellent. We did the bike ride and floating market trip with Jason as our guide. Like others have said, he was great fun and knew a lot. The restaurant was a bit of a nightmare over our two nights. The food was nice, but waits were long and the staff seemed unable to get organized. They didn’t seem to know which meals went where, were rushing back and forth, and were hard to get the attention of. Since we didn’t check the street and there wasn’t anywhere else close by, the anxious atmosphere took away from the zen. Breakfast was fine, like at other small hotels. As a light sleeper, I also struggled with our room at the very back of the resort, F2. It backed onto private houses, where music started at 4:30 in the morning. On Sunday it sounded like a church service, so getting extra rest was hard.

We really enjoyed the floating market tour, though the forest and war relics trip made for a long, hot day. Be ready to see heartbreaking amounts of plastic waste in the river. The stay itself was beautiful, a little haven on what is otherwise a pretty hectic city outskirts.
