Hanoi Evergreen Hotel

We got in very late, at 3am, and they still let us check in. We quietly found a clean, comfortable bed and a basic bathroom, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were checked out again by 7.30. It’s not somewhere you’d spend time hanging out, but for a low cost place to sleep, freshen up, and stay in a good location, it was just what we expected.

We ended up booking this property as a last resort and stayed two days. It was a letdown, including the lack of complimentary drinking water, which I expected to be provided. We also left a charger behind by mistake. After we tried to reach the host to get it back, she stopped replying and blocked our calls soon after we left. That felt uncooperative and unprofessional. Based on what happened, I wouldn’t recommend the place.

The room was so dirty and hideous that we didn’t want to touch anything. We’d booked it just to shower between two sleeper buses. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Guys, don’t trust the pictures. It felt like a haunted house converted into rooms, with old walls, mouldy curtains, and a scary bathroom. Eci green and evergreen hostel seem to be the same place, even though they appear differently on the website. Nothing seemed maintained, and it was so creepy we couldn’t sleep all night. I was too scared to take photos. If you’re a couple, please avoid it and book somewhere else. I also felt there was racism toward me as an Indian. I don’t know how they offer a place like this to guests.
