Lotus Private Pool Phu Quoc

The grounds are great, full of trees, plants, grass, and ponds, and there are good food and drinks all day. Staff were very helpful sorting out trips. We got offered a really cheap boat and snorkeling trip, which was great. You can rent mopeds and motorbikes too, though they’re not the best. We stayed in a private treehouse, cozy with a decent cold shower and a small fan, but no AC. I peeked at the main dorm Birdhouse and it looked great as well. There are a couple of cute, friendly cats living there. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, couldn’t recommend it more!

We spent four nights in a treehouse in this cozy, leafy spot just outside town, so there was less traffic noise. Good service, and loads of different food and drinks. The staff are helpful and, when they have time, offer to take you to the airport. Renting a scooter was no problem.

The sounds of the different wildlife at night were wonderful, and the place felt like a real escape from everyday life. I’m so grateful for the location, grounds, and staff. This was one of my best stays in my three months on Vietnam. The locally grown and prepared food was delicious and well priced. Hope to see you guys again.

The staff are lovely and really attentive. They seem to have someone keeping a closer eye on the bathrooms now, which I noticed after reading a few earlier complaints. After HCM, the quiet here was a sweet relief. We stayed three nights and had breakfast here twice, banana pancakes and coffee. OMG, they’re fried pancakes and so good. The beds were really firm, which we struggled with. If you’re in a dorm, expect visiting toads, and definitely don’t leave food around. I forgot a banana in the room and came back to a heap of ants. Rent a bike and ask the owner for recommendations. She’s friendly and has loads of good advice. And friends, please be kind to Phu Quoc. It’s taking on tons of tourists and their garbage. Try to use less plastic and maybe pick some up when you go to the beach.
