The room was acceptable and the location was good, but the room I was given didn’t match what I understood I’d paid for. I booked through Trip.com because it advertised “Panoramic View Rooms,” and paid extra for that type. The description and photos made me expect a clear, high-floor, unobstructed balcony view where I could watch the nightly fireworks. Instead, I got a low-floor room with the balcony almost entirely blocked by big trees and branches, as shown in my attached photo. I couldn’t see the fireworks at all, which defeats the purpose of the booking. When I asked reception to move me to the higher floor I expected, staff said all higher panoramic rooms were full and there was nothing they could do. Their only suggestion was to watch the fireworks outside the hotel. That was very disappointing. Trip.com still showed panoramic view rooms as “available,” even though the hotel said they were fully booked. If that was the case, the hotel shouldn’t accept or confirm panoramic view bookings for low floors with obstructed views. It feels misleading. The service and room assignment didn’t match the advertised description, and I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel if I’d known the view wasn’t guaranteed. Very disappointed. Guests should know that “panoramic view” here may not mean a clear balcony view.

The coffee shop was very good, with a nice choice of freshly made juice. Our stay was comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. The hotel is well located for the cable car and for watching fireworks. The rooms were clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the roomy bathroom had a strong hot shower.

The staff were kind and polite, though they don’t speak English, so we had to use Google translation and communication was a little difficult at times. Breakfast was simple but good enough for us. Our room was nice, though there were stains on the ceiling, and we could see the fireworks from it. The hotel is close to the cable car, and it offers ticket discounts. The address on the Grab app was wrong, and this happened a couple of times during our trip. I typed it in manually, but it changed after I confirmed the booking, and the hotel name didn’t appear in the app either. To be safe, you can choose 『e-coffee』or『KHÁCH SẠN ROYAL PHÚ QUỐC』. We arrived in the dark, so we were glad our driver patiently helped us find the place.

Lovely room and service, and the location makes it easy to walk around all of Sunset town. The fireworks view is wonderful every night, and the food and coffee are nice and cheap. I’m coming back.

The hotel is right across from the fireworks show, which happens every night at 9.30pm. You can watch from the café or your balcony. The room is spacious, and the in-house cafeteria has plenty of coffees and other drinks to choose from. The food is nice too. The owner and staff are very friendly and good at multitasking. 👍🏽👍🏽
