We spent one night there and both had bad headaches because the room was unbearably hot. We’d booked this hotel but were taken to another building called Bis Hotel, where the air conditioner couldn’t cool the room at all. The balcony door also wouldn’t lock properly, so it seemed possible for someone to enter from another room. The shower heater was another problem: the water swung from cold to extremely hot every three seconds. It was impossible to shower comfortably.

The host let us leave our bags for seven hours after checkout because our flight was later that evening. They also arranged bikes for us in about half an hour, and the service and hospitality were very good. There’s a working kitchen, washing machines, hair dryers and an iron. The pool is shared by the whole community rather than private, but it was very good, with clean, fresh water and washroom facilities underneath. The beach is a five-minute walk away. We visited outside peak season and had it to ourselves for a day. It was scenic and very clean, though swimming is prohibited. Sunset world is 7 km away, and vinworld is around 35 km away.
We arrived in August during low season, and the whole area was empty. The included pool was lovely, though the water was too hot. We were picked up at the airport and check-in was easy. The man at reception was very nice, but didn’t speak English, so we used a translator. We also rented two motorbikes and changed money at the same place.
Our host was friendly and introduced us to lots of nearby attractions. The room was clean and well equipped, and the hostess was lovely to talk with. We learned a lot about Phu Quoc from her. The area stays quiet at night, though there aren’t many restaurants around. There is a small night market beside the hotel, and across from it, Okie restaurant serves delicious food at low prices. We ate there three times in a row. We had a very comfortable stay, and if we return to Phu Quoc Island, we’ll definitely stay at Costis again.
The bed was very comfortable, and the place was clean. Staff were especially friendly and helpful, and the price was good. It’s a one-minute walk from the night market, with a beautiful beach about five minutes away. You can rent a scooter for an affordable price. Mornings could be noisy because of early cleaning, and the water pressure wasn’t always steady. Shopping nearby is limited, and the options there are overpriced, though a scooter helps with that.
