The Empire Hotel

One of the worst budget hotels. The towels smelled musty, the staff didn’t speak English, and the only other issue was that there was just one card per room.

The room smelled really bad, and there was no window even though they had said there would be one. Worst hotel.

It was easy to explore local food and culture from this spot, since the night market is just a short walk away. The staff were welcoming and very helpful, always ready to lend a hand with a smile. A wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it for convenience and comfort.

The room was small, had no window, and was dusty, with mosquitoes too. We were a family of four but got only three towels. When we asked for another, they said no, and when we asked for fresh towels, they replaced only three. There’s the night market down the street, but otherwise little is convenient nearby, so please be aware. For what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. There was no welcome or complimentary drink, but every bottle of water was charged. Ask about laundry prices before handing over clothes. They charge by the piece, even socks. Our white socks were still black afterward, and the clothes shrank. They charged us 10,000 dong per pair of socks and 595,000 dong for one bag of laundry. That’s ridiculous, I could have bought new clothes with that money. Please stay somewhere else unless you want your holiday ruined. It’s not worth it.
