The Happy Marina Hotel - Sunset & Ocean View

The beach is easy to get to, and the pool is a lovely spot to watch the sunset. There are three pools: a 40-meter deep pool, a 20-meter deep pool, and a 20-meter children's pool. The accommodation was clean, though there were signs of water damage. The balcony made the room seem smaller than advertised, but the bathroom and shower were adequate. Nearby there’s a small night market-style dining area, mostly seafood, plus a few cafes and restaurants. The VinBus stop is 300 meters away. If you’re not planning day trips, this waterfront complex offers good value.

The staff made the place feel welcoming, especially Andy at reception and the cleaning team, who were always helpful. Daily housekeeping was appreciated. The rooms are cozy and clean, with balconies and a homey feel, and the sea and pool are just a minute away on foot. Breakfast had eggs prepared different ways, bacon, cheese, fresh pastries, vegetables, and fruit. There’s also a shared kitchen if you want to cook for yourself, and a paid laundry room. Free bicycles and pool towels were a nice extra. A comfortable, relaxing stay, I’d recommend it.

The only thing we’d change is breakfast, since the selection was a little limited. I kept ordering scrambled eggs and found the food tasty, though cheese or cold cuts would’ve been nice to have. The rooms are small but clean and well equipped, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. It’s also only a two-minute walk to the beach and pool. For the price, it’s excellent, and we had very little else to complain about. We’d recommend the hotel and would come back.

I liked how quiet Marina was, especially compared with Sunset Town. There are green grounds with palm trees, a good main road, and a cobblestone pedestrian area. The hotel is close to the sea and Sunset Marina beach, between the Intercontinental and Pullman hotels. Nearby facilities include mini-markets, laundries, and a cafe with tasty home-style food. We tried chicken noodle soup with herbs, chicken wings, and seafood salad. The neighboring building, about 5 meters away, has a gym and massage parlor. Families with small children may appreciate the children's pool, and free bikes are available. Some buildings are empty or under construction, but that didn’t bother us.
