TK Phu Quoc Hotel - Grand World Phu Quoc

The hotel is just off Vinworld's busy main thoroughfare, so it's quiet, and the Teddy museum on the corner makes a useful landmark. The breakfast cafe was comfortable and served a sumptuous meal. Thuy at reception was friendly and helpful, working hard to make sure our stay went well. From the soothing lobby ambience to the well-designed rooms, the boutique hotel has an elegant, stylish feel throughout. The rooms had all the essential modern amenities, and both the room and ensuite were clean and fresh. I'd absolutely recommend it.

Traveling with my two kids, I needed the room clean so they could move around, and ended up cleaning it myself. I asked reception for a proper clean, but was told the cleaner had gone home sick for the day. There were no other rooms available. I also asked for a vacuum cleaner so I could deal with it, but I never got one. The woman at reception was very helpful and kind, which lifted my satisfaction with the stay. Still, this was hands down one of the dirtiest rooms I've stayed in, and I travel a lot. The coffee cups hadn't been cleaned, the toilet smelled of pee, the mirror was stained, and dirty used napkins were around the shower and sink. Rice was scattered across the dirty floor. The shower floor was dirty too and its drain was blocked.

It's easy to reach on foot from where bus 17 drops you off for Grand world from Phu Quoc airport. The location is amazing, with the teddy bear museum, restaurants, water taxi, and night show all within walking distance. They upgraded our room and the facilities were clean, though the furniture was a little old. Breakfast tasted good but had limited choices, especially for vegetarians. The washbasin and nearby area in the restaurant weren't clean. Reception isn't open 24/7, so you need to ask in advance for anything you need. Still, I'd recommend this hotel to travelers.

The location is handy for exploring north phu quoc, 300m from teddy bear museum and grand world, with Safari 5km away. The rooms are clean and the service is okay, but it's just a basic clean room, nothing luxurious. Breakfast has few choices for vegetarians and Indians. The lady (tsuy) at reception is sweet and helpful.
