The good points are the amazing breakfast, the best I've had at the places I've visited, the beautiful view, and good facilities. You can rent a bike, do laundry, and use the spa. They also found a cleaning lady to bring us one more blanket in the evening, which we appreciated. We booked a deluxe room with sea view and had no issue with the room itself. But on the first day there was a problem, and the receptionist kept saying they were fully booked and couldn't move us. I asked about a lower-level room or changing rooms every day, but was told no. On my fourth visit to reception, I showed that Booking.com and agoda had the same kind of room available as the one we'd booked. The receptionist still said they couldn't move us. Our last conversation was at 10 pm, when reception closes, so no new customer would book it then. I'm writing this so others know that the staff didn't help. I wouldn't have posted if I'd been given a real reason why I couldn't change rooms when one was available. Three times I was given what seemed like an untrue explanation that the hotel was full.

From the main road it's a steep 700m climb to the resort, so future guests should consider renting a scooter or taking a vehicle. The property itself sits about 700-800 meters from the road on a hillside, and the lobby has a stunning panoramic view of the island and sea. Check-in was smooth, with a refreshing welcome drink, and staff helped us rent decent scooters for 150K VND, which were essential for getting around. The rooms are basic but stocked with toiletries and four complimentary 200ml water bottles each. The Wi-Fi was moderate. Dining was a weak point: although over 60% of guests were Indian, there were no Indian or vegetarian options. I'd suggest adding at least two Indian vegetarian dishes. The reception staff seemed somewhat biased and weren't especially welcoming, so a friendlier, more inclusive approach would help. Our TV didn't work and was stuck in Chinese, and staff couldn't help because they didn't know the language either.

Even after we changed rooms, there was no relief, and the walk up to the hotel is exhausting. The rooms weren't good, and the bathroom is see-through even with curtains, so it isn't suitable for families. There was no glass door in the bathing area, and water drained slowly from the washbasin. There's no working restaurant after the complimentary breakfast. We asked for an extra sachet of coffee and were flatly refused. They provide just one very small bottle of water per person each day, which isn't enough. A very bad experience.

The staff and service were lovely, and the place was calm. They could add more Indian breakfast dishes, especially for vegetarians. It would also help if the hotel could offer pickup and drop-off between the hotel and main road, since the steep road is difficult with luggage. Thanks so much for the good service. See you again!
