Triland Hillside

I booked about a month ahead because of the budget. The hotel canceled just one day before check-in, which was stressful since I had no alternative accommodation lined up. I contacted them right away, and they agreed to give me a room at a revised price. My original booking was $75 with breakfast; after the cancellation I paid $99 for three nights, breakfast included. The three-night stay itself was comfortable, and the location was convenient, with most major attractions nearby. Breakfast was disappointing: although the menu listed 7-9 items, only 3-4 were available each day. Service ended at 10:30 AM, which felt early for travelers.

Lilly was friendly and helpful, and arranged the lovely cake surprise for my husband just as I requested. We enjoyed the best, tastiest breakfast there. Our room was clean and had a nice view, and we were very satisfied with the stay.

I want to clarify my earlier review and be fair. I really enjoyed my stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Lily. I still appreciate their kindness and hope this helps prevent misunderstandings and improve communication with guests. We had a verbal agreement that I could stay for 2-3 months at a certain monthly price, so I planned around it. There was no written contract, and I never said there was. Near the end of the first month, I was told I had to leave. Since places were fully booked in December, finding somewhere else was stressful. I understand situations can change, but this was my experience, including both the good parts and the difficulty. I didn't threaten anyone or mean to misrepresent what happened. The agreement was made in November, before demand peaked. When December came, they asked me to leave before the first month was over, despite the plan for two months. Other than that, I enjoyed the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and Lily was the best.

The room was tiny, with the toilet inside the shower, and looked out over a construction site. It got extremely loud at 7am. Breakfast was ridiculous, with no sweets and only tea; coffee cost extra. The area feels artificially built, like a shopping outlet or Disneyland, and I'd choose somewhere more natural on the island instead. Avoid this horrible hotel.
