Valley Sen Bungalow

Josh was a standout, with excellent personal tours that I’d choose over the big commercial tour companies. He speaks English well, knows his stuff, and brings a great personality and flexibility to planning and running trips around what you want. His service is worth every dong. The bungalows are simple, but clean and comfortable. This family-run place also has two excellent pools, beautiful gardens, a lovely forest setting, friendly and hospitable staff, and really good value. Those things made it an easy five stars for me.

We booked this lovely place at the last minute, and they welcomed us after a long travel day. The grounds around their beautiful home were lovely, and everyone was so kind. They even got our laundry done quickly since we had a flight to catch. There’s also a free shuttle to the main road. I can’t recommend them enough.

We had a great time here and would gladly have stayed longer. The staff were helpful and very friendly, the gardens were beautifully kept, and there were two excellent pools. Breakfast cost extra, but the price was low and reasonable. You could also get a tuk-tuk ride to and from the city. The bathroom was the one small downside. The water pressure was weak, and because the shower was in the middle of the room, using it left the whole bathroom wet. Still, it was something you could get used to.

We spent a week at Valley Sen Bungalow, two families of four, and would love to return. It’s a peaceful place with a nice, clean, well-kept bungalow, and the family running it gave excellent service. The two pool areas and the surrounding garden were beautiful and calm. We also took several island trips with Josh, the guide the resort works with. He planned them around what we wanted to see, which added a lot to our trip. We can only echo Tim Boris Eklund’s review and recommend this place.
