We spent three very happy weeks here at the start of our ten-week trip around Vietnam, and would come back in a heartbeat. It’s green, leafy, and peaceful, with a lovely pool and really comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, and the morning team, especially Preppy, were happy to take care of what we needed. Thank you to Mr Anh for all his help and for leading such a friendly, courteous, and efficient team. We liked being in a quieter part of Phu Quoc. You can get around by scooter or use the bikes provided, and there are several good restaurants about a ten-minute walk away. We ate at Rambutan several times. The hotel also has a shuttle service. It’s a small price to pay for the calm, away from the main town’s bustle.

We picked a spot outside the busy downtown area after reading some reviews, and booked three nights. We arrived a few hours early, but Huu Anh greeted us with a smile and got us checked in without any trouble. He also upgraded us to a poolside room at no extra cost. The room was great and very clean. The manager helped us rent two scooters for a full day, at $6 each. The resort was clean and lovely, breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay at Bambusa Resort and would recommend it.

What made the stay especially restful was the quiet, homey atmosphere. Guests and staff were all polite and considerate, and the large pool was cleaned every day, with clear, inviting water. The green private grounds felt fresh and peaceful. The rooms were cozy, neat, and had what we needed, with daily housekeeping keeping everything spotless. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and varied. A big thank you to everyone on staff for being so kind and responsive. Manager Anh helped with our questions and personally drove us to the nearest beach and back whenever we asked. Guests can also rent motorbikes. I’d happily return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, caring place to unwind.

We loved how quiet Bambusa Resort was, away from some of the louder tycoon resorts. It has a very relaxed feel and helpful service, while still being near plenty of places to get food and coffee. The ocean isn’t far, though getting to the beach still takes a bit of a trek.

Anh gave us thoughtful personal suggestions and pointed us toward places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The food was consistently good, from breakfast through the evening, and the service was excellent. In December 2025, we found Bambusa in Ong Lang Village a peaceful place to recharge among the jungle. People were quietly enjoying the pool and reading, with none of the loud, rowdy feel we sometimes noticed in the island’s busier areas. Excellent service from Anh and all the staff. Five stars for Bambusa, thank you 🙏🏽
